Through the eyes of a child

I want you to think about this for a minute.

Who do your children see when they look at you, when they think of you and when they talk about you?

What images are showing up in your head? Do you feel guilt?

I do.

We’re not perfect, God knows this. We are sinners but we are also called to speak truth and to know what our sins are and to continually repent and try harder to be more Christlike.

God has called us to be parents and to represent his love and truth into our families and children.

Think about this when you have little eyes looking to you. You are their example. It’s never too late to start being who God has called you to be and who God wants you to be for your children.

I have work to do, you have work to do. Use Gods help, guidance and love to change and help your childrens eyes see something different in you.

Be the light. Speak truth. Be bold. See your self through your children’s eyes.

Step out of your cave. Your cave being sin. Whether that’s addiction, lust, anger, fear, anxiety…. Step out.

Reach for Gods hand.

Who do your children see when they look at you. What do they know? What are they learning through you because of you?

Be who they need, not what they want. They don’t know what they need.

Our world needs children to know God. It is our duty to God to teach and most importantly DEMONSTRATE a Christ like behavior.

let’s guide our children. And be the LIGHT to our children. So they know our LORD. So they see him in us.

Teach TRUTH through scripture.

Let’s let our children see knowledge when they think of us, and let children see love and kindness and BOLDNESS when they think of us.

To see parents that tried and didn’t just live for themselves.

Put it down.

Yes, put it down.

You know what I’m talking about.

Are you with me?

Heavenly Father, I pray to you today to help guide us to be the parents that you have created us to be, that we can walk in faith and demonstrate love to our children, so they can learn and grow into who you created them to be. I pray to be better for my children so that they may see you in me. I pray to speak truth and be bold and not be afraid to walk with you always. I pray to be who my children need me to be. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen!
